“Because the presence of pigeons can pose health concerns, Regional West must take safe, legal, cost-effective action to eliminate pigeons from our campus,” said Steve Hodges, vice president of Human Resources. “Regional West is relying on the expertise of the USDA to control the pigeons. The contractors will utilize the same pest control measures used in downtown Scottsbluff in the past few years. USDA contractors will remove pigeons during night time hours beginning Tuesday, June 17, and continuing periodically over a one-year period.”

Pigeons will be removed from the main Regional West patient tower, the AirLink hangar, and other buildings on the campus.

“Our primary concern during this project is the safety and comfort of our patients, staff, visitors and vendors,” said Hodges. “We regret any inconvenience that may be result from the removal project.”
